Homeroom:
1. Enter the room quietly and get your computer.
2. At 7:45 a.m. you are to be in your seat.
3. Attendance and the lunch count are taken by the teacher.
4. We stand together to say the Pledge of Allegiance with the PA announcer.
5. After the Pledge, sit down at your seat and listen to the announcements.

Science classroom:
1. Make sure that you have your binder and other materials.
2. Enter the room quietly.
3. Go directly to your assigned seat and sit.
4. Direct your attention to the whiteboard for instructions on the bell ringer activity.
5. Complete the bell ringer activity independently, unless otherwise directed.
6. Wait quietly for others to finish/the day’s activities to begin.
7. At the end of the class, make sure you have what was completed in class and the homework written in your assignment notebook.
8. Push in chairs when you leave the room.

Labs:
1. Do not enter the lab until instructed to do so.
2. Always check the front whiteboard for additional instructions.
3. Read through all procedures by yourself and with your group so that you know what is to be done.
4. After reading, wait for teacher directions.
5. The teacher will review techniques and procedures prior to your entry into the lab.
6. Ask questions before entry into the lab.
7. You are to work with your assigned group members to complete the day’s lab.
8. Follow all safety rules from your Lab Safety contract.

Passing in papers:
1. Papers will be passed to one member of your pod/group/pair.
2. Before turning in the papers the person who collected should check to make sure that all papers have student names on them and are facing the same way.
3. The back rows will pass their group of papers up to the group in front of them.
4. S/he will put all of the papers from their row into the designated period slot.
5. DO NOT HAND THE TEACHER ANY PAPERS!

Class Discussions:
1. Raise your hand and wait to be recognized to add to the discussion.
2. When someone else is speaking, you are to be listening.
3. Side conversations are detrimental to the learning process and are not to occur.

Pencil Sharpening:
1. Sharpen pencils either before or after teacher instruction for the day.
2. Do not sharpen pencils while teacher or other classmates are talking.

Bathroom:
1. Ask permission prior to signing out.
2. Sign out legibly on the “Sign Out” sheet on the back wall with your first and last name, as well as the time you are leaving.
3. Take the classroom pass with you.
4. Upon return, fill in the time you returned and return the pass to the hook.
5. Return to your seat quietly and continue with the day’s work.
6. If bathroom privileges are abused, they can be suspended.

Absences:
1. Upon return to school, first check the Homework Board to see what we did on the day(s) you were gone.
2. Then, look in File Folder (look here guy) and find the dates (# on the tabs = date) that you were absent and pull out the work.
3. Finally, in the notebook write the class you are in, the date, your name, and the dates absent down.
4. Check with your group members about what you have missed.
5. If you missed work that was not a worksheet, you are to copy this work into your binder. Use your lab partner’s binder or the teacher’s “sample binder” to accomplish this.
6. If you still do not know what you have missed, see me after class, before or after school.
7. You have one day to make up the work for each day of absence.

Assemblies:
1. Stay with your teacher.
2. Walk together in a single file line on the right side of the hallway behind the teacher.
3. Sit with your class during the assembly.
4. Respond appropriately during the assembly.



Guest Teachers:
1. Sit in your assigned seat.
2. Complete the work assigned in a respectful and responsible manner.
Remember: Twisters are respectful, responsible, and peaceful.


“Rent-a-center”
1. You may borrow anything you need for that class period, ONLY!
2. When class is finished please return the material in the correct drawer (everything
is labeled).

Grading
1. Tests/Assessment: There will be a test/assessment at the end of each completed unit, and quizzes throughout the units. If you miss a test or quiz, it is your responsibility to make arrangements to make up tests on the day you return to school. If you are sick for longer than 2 days in a row, we will make arrangements for you to take the test at a later date.
2. Homework: Homework is due at the beginning of each class. Late homework will be accepted with points taken off each day it is late. Late work is to be turned in the late tray.
Any assignment not turned in on the day it is due (absent or late) MUST have a “Late/Absent assignment form attached!!
